May Flowers!
I have always wanted to make tissue paper puff ball flowers and at the beginning of this month I helped out with a "Breakfast at Tiffanys" themed Bridal Shower and I definitely got my wish.... we made about 30 flowers to hang around the room and spruce up the tables! We used 8 sheets of tissue paper (alternating colors for the mixed flowers) and accordion folded them about an inch and a half thick and tied a piece of wire around the middle section to hold them together. Next we cut the two ends in either spikes or rounded edges and pulled each layer one at a time out and towards the center. After a little fluffing to make them look even all the way around we hung them with fishing line to the rafters on the ceiling. What a (relatively) cheap and fun way to incorporate lots of color and easy decor! I bet these are going to show up at many future events now that we got in all our practice! Better instructions can be found here.
Thanks for sharing superb ideas about table decoration!
