Painted Cookies

I saw this idea on Pinterest. I made sugar cookies and frosted them white. I let them set overnight. Then we painted them with gel food color using paint brushes. Lots of fun for little ones. A good party idea!

Under the Sea Shirt

Amy created this shirt for her SIL's birthday.  Inspiration came from this. Amy took it another direction.  She came up with an under the sea theme so when you cross your arms the fish are swimming in the sea.  She used her Silhouette shapes and heat transfer.  Fun.

Halloween paper weaving

Wish I could say I cut this with my Silhouette or by hand but it was a kit. It was fun anyway and new decorations are always good!

Organization

My 4 year old helped with this. I cut pockets and inserts out with my Silhouette. She decorated the pockets. On each insert, we made a daily to do list on one side for her and the other for me. Hopefully it will help all of us stay focused and motivated in our crazy, busy lives.

SMASH

I've thought the SMASH journals looked fun for a while but I'm not much of a journal writer. My oldest started all day, everyday preschool and after a few days of comments and stories, I knew I had a great journal to write each day! It is fun to hear her stories and hopefully this will get me over the journal slump! Plus, the products are quick and easy to use!

Does baking count?

I collaborated with my Mom to make this train cake for my nephew's first birthday. It turned out cute and sugary!

More May crafts

I made another exploding album for a baptismal gift, a train birthday card using the Silhouette, and finished a monkey album I had started back in September!

May T-shirts

I made t-shirts for my nephew's birthday and for my kids. I used my Silhouette, heat transfer, and a cool heat press! Thanks to Gail and Erin for the guidance!

Pool Noodle Lacing

This month's craft is similar to many others already posted. Gail asked us to be a part of a Toddler Busy Bag swap. We were so busy that I almost politely declined but I have to say I'm glad I decided to participate. I made a pool noodle lacing game taken from an idea here: http://planetoftheapels.blogspot.com/2011/09/busy-bag-swap-day-2-pool-noodle-lacing_01.html. I bought the noodles cheap at Target and used a sharp knife to cut them into 1 inch slices. Each bag got 9 numbered noodles and then various pattern cards for creating patterns with color or numbers. I also bought large bouncy balls and my husband drilled holes in them so that the noodles wouldn't slip off of one end of rope. This was very simple and very cheap to make! Hopefully kids are enjoying these, I know my daughter loves it. We're looking forward to getting our bags next weekend!

Exploding album interior

I made this exploding album for my niece's baptism. I received one of these from Gail for my daughter's birthday. There are simple steps to making this album which can be themed any way you choose.

Exploding Album

I made this exploding album for March. I'm giving it as a gift in April. I will post pictures of the inside after the gift-giving is done. Stay tuned...

Scrapbook Title Page

Amy completed the title page for her daughter's scrapbook album.  She scraplifted the idea from an idea board at Archivers.  Turned out pretty cute.  (Note: The purple bar is not a boring embellishment - just covered up her daughter's last name:))
