Painted Canvas

This month Kelly painted a canvas and wrote out her favorite Billy Graham saying in letter stickers.  Next she spray painted over everything, let it dry and removed the stickers.

Magazine Magnets

To make this project Allison used a magazine, scissors (though next time she would use a circle punch:)), pen, circle magnets, Elmer's Glue Stick, Elmer's Ultra Stix All and clear gem circles.

Step Stool Painted Design

My godson is turning 1 next month, so for a birthday gift, my husband and I decided to turn to one of our old favorites.  We had a number of friends who had babies years ago, and as a shower gift, my husband would build a step stool and I would paint on it.  For my nephew's stool, I decided to change up the original design (a poem and Dr. Suess character) and instead went with this vintage look for the top of the stool.

Scrapbook Title Page

Amy completed the title page for her daughter's scrapbook album.  She scraplifted the idea from an idea board at Archivers.  Turned out pretty cute.  (Note: The purple bar is not a boring embellishment - just covered up her daughter's last name:))

Shirts for Twins

I know a set of twins that are turning 1 in just a couple of weeks. I decided to make a couple of funny shirts for their birthday presents. I designed these shirts and cut it out using my Silhouette and heat transfer material and then ironed it on to the shirts and onesies. I sure hope their parents like my sense of humor! I got these ideas by hunting around on Cafe Press

Anniversary Gift

The Hubby and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary this month so I wanted to do something different. With having 2 small kiddos at home we don't always make time for dates like we used to. So for his gift I took a small tin (the traditional 10th anniversary gift) box and decorated it with my Silhouette. Inside I used rub-ons on envelopes to create "invites" to go out each month for a pre-planned activity. Since I love to scrapbook I also started a book to record our dating adventures this year. I am aiming to do things that we haven't done but are always commenting that we should do or things that we haven't done in a long while. Should be a fun year! I had inspiration for this idea from the Dating Divas Website.

I know some people were curious to what I have planned. Since I know my hubby is occasionally looking here I can't give all the dates away right now, but will try to remember to update this post as I go throughout the year!

Summer Scrapbooking

Summer Scrapbooking
I decided I should start my 2012 crafting with a little bit of scrapbook catchup. I chose to scrap the pictures from a birthday party we threw for one of my ballet coworkers over the summer. I tried to make it extra bright and fun to reflect her personality and the fact that she loves all things glittering and rhinestoned!
