Reindeer Shirt

I saw this shirt in a Silhouette Facebook group I'm in and knew I HAD to make this for Emery.  It was fun to work on my tracing skills and I had the onesie and all of the heat transfer vinyl just lying around, so it came together quite quick.  I've got more shirts planned like this one!

Thankful Tree

For Thanksgiving, I made this tree.  I cut it out with my Silhouette in some brown vinyl I had lying around.  I found some nice oak leaf shapes online and traced them and cut them out of red, yellow, and orange card stock.  I would have used adhesive backed card stock if I would have had the right colors.  Instead, I them up with just tape rolled on the back.  I asked people at our Thanksgiving to write down what they were thankful for and put it somewhere around the tree.  I think it turned out great and hope I remember to do this again next year.  It was especially good for the little ones to see all the things people were thankful for.

Yarn Letters

I love all the many versions of these on pinterest so I decided to try my hand at it and thought "oh this will be a quick, easy, adorable Christmas idea to add to everyone's gift this year."  Well, the adorable part turned out to be true at least.... haha... I found it a little frustrating to wrap the curves on the S so if you have an easier letter you'll probably be seeing this in your stocking and if you have an "S"......we'll see. : )

Dollar Tree Christmas Crafting

This month Kelly purchased all her supplies at the Dollar Tree for a grand total of $10 to make some cute and easy Christmas Decorations.  She glued candlestick holders to vases.  Then she filled one with Christmas candy and the other with some Christmas floral branches.  She then made a Christmas tree in a mason jar after seeing this.  Quick and easy way to add holiday cheer.

Train Party Decorations

My son turned 2 and we threw him a train party.  Here are some of the decorations I did for the party.
I made him a little shirt to wear for the day with my Silhouette and heat transfer.  I got the "Choo Choo" from one of the train designs I had bought from the online store.  I added it to a different train I had and added the "2".
I cut two 3 inch strips from 12x12 scrapbook paper and then wrote on them.  I cut the circles out with the Silhouette and used basic streamers to decorate the gate leading to the basement.
We made train tracks on the floor with painters tape (definitely a hit and I'm sure they will be up for a few days). Got this idea from searching train party ideas on Pinterest -- Lots of variations on this.  Then I made this Rail Road Sign from a shape out of the Silhouette Store.

Give Thanks Banner

As we were putting the Halloween Decorations away and taking out the few Thanksgiving Decorations we have my daughter said, "Let's make some more Thanksgiving decorations!"  So I looked through our craft supplies and found that I had purchased a pack of foam fall leaves.  I cut out the letters on my Silhouette for "Give Thanks" and let her color them anyway she wanted - she choose to do some in crayon and some in marker.  She also decided to add a sparkly jewel to each letter.  We then glued them onto foam leaves.  I found a coloring page turkey by doing a google search and then printed that out for her to color to have a break in the lettering.  Then I punched holes in the foam with my crop-o -dile and my daughter threaded them onto a ribbon.  Then we hung it up - tada!  It took 3 days of her brother's nap time to get this done so it held our interest for quite a bit.

Welcome Home Steps

Today I cut out some black vinyl on the Silhouette to give our stairs from the garage into the house a little face lift.  I used my Mod Podge Matte Sealer to coat the vinyl and stairs so hopefully it won't peel up after the first few times we step on it.
