Kelly decorated this wreath from the dollar store with felt flowers that she made. Got the inspiration here.

Does baking count?
I collaborated with my Mom to make this train cake for my nephew's first birthday. It turned out cute and sugary!

Magic Wands
This month Vicki made a ton of magic wands for her ballet kids at the studio. What fun!
She wrapped ribbon around small dowels and sewed stars to put on top that were stuffed.
Tulip T-Shirt
This month Allison made a shirt for her mom for Mother's Day/Tulip Time Festival. She used the Silhouette to cut out heat transfer and pressed it on with a heat press.

Outdoor Bowling Set
I have a ton of puff containers that we had been through.
I thought I certainly could come up with something to do with all of these. We decided to make an outdoor bowling set! I gathered the containers, colored duct tape we had on hand, my glue gun, a funnel and bought a 5 lbs bag of rice and a kickball.
I used the duct tape to seal the lids on.
I used the funnel to pour rice in about 2-3 inches full on the bottom. Then I used the glue gun to seal the lid and placed an extra piece of duct tape over the opening.
TaDa! We marked X's on the ground with sidewalk chalk where to place the pins and lined them up. Then we took turns kicking the ball into the pins. The kids had a great time stacking them back up and kicking them over again and again. It was a really quick craft to do and my oldest even helped.
Silhouette Projects
This month I spent some quality time with my Silhouette . . .
I added vinyl to the kid's stuffed animal tubs.
I saw a version of this sign on Pinterest and enjoyed it so much I decided I needed to make one for the kid's bathroom. I painted the canvas blue, used black and white vinyl in various fonts and then did a coat of Mod Podge over the whole thing.
I made several shirts with the heat transfer. Zoe got a black glitter horse (love this glitter heat transfer!) and a rhinestone flower shirt with a big "4" on the back and her name (figure it would make a fun birthday shirt next month!). The golf shirt - this is the front. I made two: one for my dad and one for my father in law. They are a golf team for the church league and they were in first place after the first 3 weeks, which is awesome for them, so I made shirts for them to celebrate. The back says, "First Place (so far)."

Digital Card
My brother-in-law and his family are closing on a house next month, so I created a card to include in a housewarming gift. I used Adobe Photoshop Elements and the "No Place Like Home" digital kit by Irene Alexeeva to create the cover (which I will print onto a 5x7 card).

Spiderman Birthday Theme
Parker wanted a Spiderman birthday party, so I thought I could make a few items to add to the theme. First, I found a Spiderman logo and traced it in my Silhouette software and then used HTV to make the shirts and the bib (not Spiderman, but appropriate for a superhero birthday, I thought).
I looked all over for these red cups. I saw others like them at Walmart, but no red. Turns out a friend of mine bought up a bunch of these for her sons 3rd birthday a few weeks back. She gave me a 6 pack and I went wild with permanent vinyl. I cut out the boys names and a few more Spiderman logos. The boys love them, and they are dishwasher safe. How awesome is that???

May Flowers!
I have always wanted to make tissue paper puff ball flowers and at the beginning of this month I helped out with a "Breakfast at Tiffanys" themed Bridal Shower and I definitely got my wish.... we made about 30 flowers to hang around the room and spruce up the tables! We used 8 sheets of tissue paper (alternating colors for the mixed flowers) and accordion folded them about an inch and a half thick and tied a piece of wire around the middle section to hold them together. Next we cut the two ends in either spikes or rounded edges and pulled each layer one at a time out and towards the center. After a little fluffing to make them look even all the way around we hung them with fishing line to the rafters on the ceiling. What a (relatively) cheap and fun way to incorporate lots of color and easy decor! I bet these are going to show up at many future events now that we got in all our practice! Better instructions can be found here.

Decorative Tiles
I used my Silhouette to design these tiles for our mothers for Mother's Day. I came up with words to description our moms and then played around with all of the fonts that I have installed on our computers.I used permanent vinyl so they could go outside in a garden, but I expect that they will stay inside on a small plate holder.
I had the boys pick out 4 tiles for their teachers and found this quote I found appropriate for a teacher appreciation gift. I used the same vinyl and my Silhouette to cut these out. I'm also having the boys sign their names to the back with a permanent marker.
Split Letter Design
I saw this idea in a facebook crafting group I am a member of. I used regal font and split the letter and added our names and our year we got married. I cut it out in vinyl and then placed it on the front side of the back panel of glass in this 14x14 floating frame. I'm very excited to get this hung up in our bedroom.
